Same Eroded Beach That I Showed Yesterday - Not Much Change


I checked a few beaches this morning.  The one that I showed yesterday with three foot cuts was basically unchanged this morning.  The cliff had eroded back a little, but not much. The cliff was no higher today than yesterday.

Small cut found at one Treasure Coast beach this morning.


Yesterday we got some wind and waves.  I took a look this morning to see what if anything happened at the beach.  Here it is.



As you can see there was some movement of sand, and some small cuts.  The cuts however were out on the front

6/27/12 Report - Debby Comes Ashore & Another Millions-Year-Old Find

One Treasure Coast Beach Yesterday Afternoon.



Tropical Storm Debby has been hard to predict.  Some models had her going West to Texas, others North, others East and even a few, Southeast.  It was really all over the map.

Some of the mystery is now over.  Debby hit land near Steinhatchee and is headed across Florida above Orlando and then out into the Atlantic.

8/21/11 Report - Big News - 13 Foot Seas Predicted - Tropical Storm Irene

Neck of Tinajas Jar Recently Found on the Site of the Santa Margarita.

Besides the Atocha and the Santa Margarita, Mel Fisher Expeditions is now also working the site of the shipwreck code named the Lost Merchant.

Recent finds on the site of the Santa Margarita include a pewter plate, lead sheathing, and a number of iron encrusted objects.

8/2/11 Report - More on Emily, How Often People Detect the TC Lately, & Steamship New Albany

Projected Path of Emily.Emily is now a named storm. As you can see Florida is within the cone. That is according to the 5:00 AM Tuesday forecast.The center of the storm is now projected to be just off the coast. "Storm" is the key word. Emily is not strengthening quickly, and is now projected to be a tropical storm, not a hurricane, when she reaches our area on Saturday.She is expected to pass
