Ice Age to Space Age Finds From the T. C. Yesterday
The other day I said that the improvements in beach conditions were short lived. It turns out that I was a little premature with that. I went to check one of the secondary beaches yesterday afternoon and found that there is still a lot out there.

I'll undoubtedly be issuing a beach conditions downgrade before long. We're back to one and two foot seas already. And it looks like it will stay that way for a while again.
There is a new storm in the Atlantic named Kirk. It will remain out in the middle of the Atlantic. Another storm may be

The predicted path of Isaac has drifted a little to the West again. It looks to me like the West coast of Florida will get some good onshore winds and waves next week, and the Panhandle and around the Big Bend and the Apalachicola area will get a lot of waves and high water

Here is a nice 14K ladies bracelet found on a Treasure Coast beach. It weighs less than the ring I showed yesterday.
Yesterday I discussed how gold is measured in Troy ounces rather than the Avoirdupois ounces that we use most of the time. Also, a lot of people use grams when talking about gold.

The tropics are heating up. There is now a 60% chance that this disturbance in the Atlantic will turn into a cyclone in the next 48 hours. It is now well east of the southern windward islands, so it will be a while before we feel the effects, if we ever do. It is something to watch though.
