6/13/11 Report - Cleaned Iron Artifact & Great Pirate Site
Chisel As Found in January.This chisel is ten inches long and the head is 2 inches by 1.5 inches. I like it better with the crust, but it started to deteriorate so I decided to clean and preserve it to keep it from falling apart.I should have immediately put it in a solution of water and sodium bicarbonate and let it soak until I got around to cleaning it.Don't take the crust off until you decide

5/27/11 Report - Shipwreck Spike & Mass Spectrometry on Silver Reals
Shipwreck Spike Dug Today. As you can see this spike hasn't been cleaned yet. It was dug this morning. I like the bend. It's iron and about eight inches long. It was down about a foot and a half in hard packed shells in the low tide zone. I went out to see the beach this morning with the intention of taking it easy to avoid aggravating my injuries. 4/2/11 Report - Shipwreck Wood and Spike & $290 Million Treasure
Recently Found Wood Showing Spike Hole.Here is a piece of wood that I picked up in a shell pile the other day. As you can see it has a nice square hole through it. The wood is very hard almost like it is fossilized. It appears that the rust leached onto or into the surrounding wood, which seems to make the wood harder and more resistant to deterioration. 12/10 Report - Gold Plated Space Debris? & Rusted Iron Shipwreck Debris
Thin Sheet of Metal Plated With Gold That Tests Good at 18K.This piece was found on the Treasure Coast, and the photo was submitted by Fred B. Fred said that when he found the piece it was folded over, and when he unfolded it he found the gold plating on what was the inside surface. 7/31 Report - Nails as Clues & 18th Century Brigantine
Photo of Square Nails Recently Found on Treasure Coast Beach by Ian A.The ship discovered at the World Trade Center site appears to be a two-masted Brigantine from the 18th Century that as used as land fill.
