deFuroner is a swiss olive oil producer and owns in Baix Ebre, Catalonia, a little plantation with 132 olive trees and it also bottles and distributes a small amount of olive oil produced by the 398 other crofters of the local cooperativa. All these few hundred years old trees are mainly cared for by handcraft. deFuroner combines a first-class olive oil production with a respectful, simple, down-to-earth and traditional caring for a millennia-long cultural landscape.

Tetra Brik® Aseptic 1000 Edge with Bio-based LightCap™ 30 is the first aseptic carton package in the world to receive the highest class of Vinçotte certification for its use of renewable materials.

The new package is manufactured using a bio-based plastic film and cap, made from polymers derived from sugar cane. Combined with the paperboard, this lifts the share of materials from renewable sources in the package to above 80%, the threshold for four-star certification from Vinçotte, the Belgium-based accreditation agency that is world-recognized for assessing the renewable content of packaging products.

The new package also boasts up to 17% lower carbon footprint than a standard package, according to an independent lifecycle analysis conducted by IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute.

Swiss consumers are becomingly increasingly focused on health and wellness, which has prompted a significant rise in the popularity of healthy teas, accounting for a staggering 49% of the overall total tea market.

Despite this rise in popularity, the category is still led by designs that focus on the functionality of the tea blends, communicating a specific product benefit. This can have the effect of appearing sterile and remedial, lacking the emotive benefits. Twinings recognised the opportunity to connect with the consumer beyond a rational level, and brought to life the functional product benefits in a more emotive way.

BrandOpus was briefed to bring the whole experience of the tea to life. This was achieved through a series of bespoke illustrations designed to evoke the benefits of the individual blends making it easier for the customer to navigate the range with easily recognisable advantages and find the right tea for them.

Badeschoggi Bubble Soap (Concept)

«Badeschoggi» is basically a bubble soap in the shape of a chocolate bar. It needs only 2 - 3 pieces for one bath. Its a handmade soap made by my wife. I wanted to create an easy to open and close packaging with look and feel of handmade. So I took the principle of a matchbox with a drawer and added a window. The material are colored and textured cardboards in pastell and black colors with a soft touch. Inside the drawer is a paper with funny quotes about bathing.

Coudres Beer

The small new premium Swiss based "COUDRES" brewery asked us to develop its brand focusing on its name and meaning (COUDRE = HAZEL in English).They also wanted to create a label with something vintage/patchwork/oldschool oriented and a touch of craziness in the logo itself.

We started with the hazel and made several propositions, but something was missing. No craziness in the label and logo emerged from them as the brewer said. So we started to combine the tree with several objects. It just did not work. The brewers were not convinced by the ideas we showed them. So one of them said "Just put a tree on a pointing finger, I don't know, something crazy..!!!".

We did just that ... and they were delighted.

We then prepared some templates for several beer style using several colors schemes they chose. They now have 4 different types of beer and more are coming.

The brewery is now known as the "tree-hand" Brewery. Very recognizable so that no one forgets about this "strange" new beer brand and logo.

The printing process is simple: CMYK laser printing on paper labels.
